Massive Fiction 1.1

Edited: May 8

Hey all! Here's our first big update! Some big changes to the community:

Community Layout:

Changed default community layout to show posts from every category in order of last released. Categories can still be accessed using the menu in the top left corner of the page.

Member View:

Added button on Forum to enter member view, which allows you to search, follow, and view other members profiles.

Sub-Categories:

We've enabled subcategories for certain categories. We're really excited about this feature, as it will allow you to post or follow specific writing genres. I've already sorted everything into it's new category, so make sure to post content where it fits best. I've attached a category map, for your convenience. If you have any category suggestions, comment here or use the contact feature and let us know!

Categories:

We've added some categories and re-organized the current categories to make sure everything has a proper place. Check the category map for more details. Remember, you can follow and unfollow specific categories and subcategories on their individual pages.

Serial:

This one's exciting. Do you have a long term project you want to share? Writing a novel, and want to post chapter by chapter? We've made it easier with the Serial category. To get started, follow these steps:

1. Reach out using the Contact feature in the navigation bar.

2. Put your name and email, and make the subject "Serial"

3. In the body, give me a quick summary of your project, and the title of your work.

4. I will create a subcategory just for you, where you can make each chapter an individual post, and release at your own pace.

5. Users can follow your project directly, and get notified when you post!

Minor Changes:

-Added Share button to homepage for easier community access.

-Renamed pages in member view for ease of access.

-Shout-out to @Brendannn, and everyone who posted in the feature suggestions category.

Thank you so much for using Massive Fiction! We love reading your work and seeing what you come up with. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, drop them in the comments or post in the Feature Suggestions category!

Happy Writing!

I'm glad that you guys are actively updating the site.

New Posts
  • I just wanted to thank you guys for making such a great website! Although I won't be returning to school this fall (because I graduated) I would love to still create more stories to post on here and to share this website with all my fellow writers. Once again thank you so much and I will do my best on posting on this website and sharing its wonderful platform. :)
  • So after a busy couple of weeks preparing for a trip to Las Vegas and then California, I come back to find that it looks like no one has done anything here since May 31st! I know I'm also to blame because I was gone, but I'll be here in California for about a month with not a whole lot to do so I will have plenty of time to contribute to the site. It's sad because I know that most, if not all of the members here besides Mrs. W and the Admins are students, and probably have less motivation to use the site now that it's not an assignment, but I'm hoping that the site will come to life again soon. I've already recommended it to a bunch of my friends, and I'm in a mass discord server and I'm gonna mention it in their dedicated writing channel. Hopefully we can see Massive Fiction stay active at all times of the year!
  • would Sanctum have a museums where they show you electronics and other stuff that we use today or would they just act like that stuff didn't exist?
